The Terratruth decision support system (formerly called the Aboriginal Mapping Network Referrals Decision Support Tool) supports Indigenous communities in their effort track and evaluate the impacts of proposed land and marine use activities in their territories. The secure site has controlled access to prevent unauthorized viewing and use of sensitive local knowledge information.
The main site, hosted by Ecotrust Canada, is located at http://terratruth.info/
The first phase of the tool was developed in partnership with the Lil’wat and Haida Nations, with additional enhancements funded by the Okanagan Nation Alliance. GeoConnections Canada partially funded the first phase of the tool development. The Northeast Superior Forest Community in Ontario has signed on as a partner, and implemented Terratruth for their region in May 2012.
Terratruth is designed to be easy to use, but you may not be familiar with all the functionality. This help section describes the features and explains how to use them.
