The B.C. government is determined to push forward with coalbed methane in our valley despite widespread opposition from community members. This is a risky industry that threatens our land, our water supply, and existing livelihoods such as fishing and farming. The government is claiming that the majority of residents support coalbed methane! We know this isn’t true, and we aim to prove it.
(Did you know that 204 of the 226 respondents to our survey at the forum were opposed to coalbed methane?).
TOP PRIORITY: Online survey
A critical part of this work is gathering the voices of Bulkley Valley residents using our new online survey. If you haven’t already completed our survey, please click here to fill it out.
We need our supporters to forward this email to as many of their contacts as possible. You can do this with our nifty "send-to-a-friend" tool.

New website launched, soon to have video!
Our new website is now live at concernedaboutcbm.org. If you are looking for educational materials for doing outreach, you can find lots on the site’s CBM Facts page.
The entire September 27 forum was captured on video, and we’re working on uploading it to the new website. Stay tuned.
Moving forward
Friends, the coming weeks are extremely important. We must communicate our message loudly and clearly. If you are able to dedicate any time to this effort, please do. And if you have a good idea for getting the word out, we urge you to make it happen as soon as possible.
Here’s to protecting this wonderful place in which we live!
