Development Director, Dogwood Initiative

Dogwood Initiative is a non-profit organization that helps British Columbians exercise local control of resource developments to create healthy and prosperous communities. We believe a community cannot be a healthy one without a healthy environment. We also believe that people have a right to decide how the land they live on is used. So we have a unique mandate – working for a healthy democracy, prosperous communities and environmental sustainability.

Dogwood is a small organization that builds strength in forging links between labour, environmentalists, local community groups and First Nations. Together we seek new ways to live in harmony with our environment while taking part in the economic development and democratic processes that secure the long-term sustainability and livability of our local communities.
