WWF Canada is offering an exciting opportunity in conservation. We need an experienced and innovative professional to work with a multi-disciplinary team to provide conservation leadership for our growing North Coast program.
This position involves the following components:
- Manage WWF North Coast operations including conservation staff and consultants in the region
 - Participate in development of a growing regional North Coast integrated marine, forest and freshwater conservation program
 - Develop and build partnerships with First Nations, regional governments, academic institutions, industry and non-government organizations towards sustainability goals
 
The candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Graduate-level education in the natural or social sciences (MA or MSc)
 - 5-7 years relevant experience with coastal issues, rural communities, natural resource management
 - Experience with conservation and environmental advocacy
 - Experience with collaborative multistakeholder conservation planning
 - Proven leadership and management skills
 - Excellent people skills
 - Willingness to travel
 - Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
 - Flexibility and the ability to adapt to an evolving, growing program
